I looooove personalized cards very much and so I just couldn’t stop on only one cute critter and placed a gang of furry friends sending happy birthday wishes!!!

Sending Birthday Wishes #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Sending Hugs stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I started this card die-cutting the adorable furry friends with the coordinating dies from Neenah Solar White cardstock, then aligned the negative part of the die-cuts in the stamping positioning tool and made the stamping with a copic friendly ink. The color media choice was obviously on copic markers. I’m leaving all the exact colors I used on this card at the bottom of this post. I embellished the card base with an ombrè ink blending through just released yesterday Tumbling Hearts Stencil using Distress Oxide ink in Worn Lipstick color. Then I die-cut a frame and a few fish-tail banners from Frames & Flags Die Set. I colored the banners with the same copic markers I used on the stamps for a perfect match and then heat embossed the sentiment from the same Sending Hugs set on top with a white embossing powder. Finally popped up all the element on a foam tape and embellished with some clear sparkling sequins.

Crafting Desert Divas – January Release Sneak Peek – Get Well

Hello and welcome!

I’m super excited to be on the Craftin Desert Divas blog today with a daily post featuring brand new and sooooooo adorable Get Well stamp set from Craftin Desert Divas.

All the products from the CDD January release will be available for purchase on Friday January, 12 at Craftin Desert Divas online shop.

Get Well Soon #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Get Well Stamp Set by Craftin Desert Divas

Want to cheer up someone and send get well wishes? The lovely images and sentiments from this new Get Well set will help you to do that so easily! In fact, when you work with such cuteness there’s no need to add much to the layout. Clean and simple style is the best in this case!!!

I started this card, creating a non distracting background for the card front on the scalloped frame. First of all I traced with a pencil and cut out a heart window from a masking paper. Then applied the negative part of the mask to my frame, fixed Hearts Galore stencil on top and made a gradient ink blending using a foam tool and Distress Oxide ink in Worn Lipstick color.

I set aside everything and proceeded working on Get Well set. I grabbed and stamped a few cute images with a copic friendly black ink on a copic friendly paper as my intention was to color with copic markers, of corse. Scroll down towards the bottom of this post in case you are interested to find all the exact colors I used here. Then I fussy cut all the colored stamps leaving a little white edge around and started assembling the card. I prepared a fish-tale banner, heat embossing the sentiment from Simply Said stamp set with a white embossing powder, added a bit of dimension adhering all the elements on a foam tape and finally decorated with a few matching sequins, a shimmer pen and some white accents.

Crafting Desert Divas – January Release Sneak Peek – Up, Up & Away

Happy Wednesday!

I’ve popped in today to share a clean and simple card with a rainbow twist featuring new and absolutely adorable Up, Up & Away stamp set from the Craftin Desert Divas January release!

All the products from the CDD January release will be available for purchase on Friday January, 12 at Craftin Desert Divas online shop.

Miss You #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Up, Up & Away Stamp Set by Craftin Desert Divas

I guess Up, Up & Away stamp set happens to be my favorite from the January release because there’s something special about hot air balloons!!! They always inspire me so much and I just adore them! And so here’s my first project!

Miss You #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Up, Up & Away Stamp Set by Craftin Desert Divas

I started, of course, with stamping using a copic friendly black ink on Neenah Solar White paper and coloring the hor air balloon and adorable critters with copic markers. Then I fussy cut the stamp around, leaving a little white edge, and proceeded working on the layout. I die-cut a stitched frame using Fancy Frame Die set from a pattern paper I had in my stash and a scalloped circle using Stitched In Circle Die set from the same Neenah Solar White cardstock I used before. Added a bit of color to the center of the die-cut circle with an ink blending tool and Distress Oxide ink in Peacock Feathers color. Then I prepared a fish-tale banner with a heat embossed “Miss You” sentiment from Simply Said set and a few aditional clouds from Magical Unicorns stamp set. Finishing the card I just couldn’t escape to add some dimension, popping the elements on a foam tape, and a few little extra touches with a shimmer pen and Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Craftin Desert Divas Monthly Social Media Challenge December 2017

'Tis The Season #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Winter Village Digital Stamp Set by Craftin Desert Divas

Happy Friday!

It’s time to play again with the Monthly Social Media Challenge from Craftin Desert Divas! And here’s another inspirational project based on the beautiful December mood board!

Today’s card turned out almost one layer. I played with the gorgeous Winter Village Digital Stamp Set, printed a simple frosty scene on a laser printer and just enjoyed coloring it with copic markers. In case you’re interested, please, check all the exact copic numbers I used here at the bottom of this post.

'Tis The Season #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Winter Village Digital Stamp Set by Craftin Desert Divas

Once finished with coloring, I added a sentiment from Holiday Sweaters stamp set stamping it directly on my panel with a black ink. And finally added a frosty feeling applying first Multi Medium Matte adhesive and then sprinkled on top a clear glitter. I set everything aside and let air dry before shaking off the excess and gluing the colored scene to the regular A2 size card base.

Stretch Your Supplies Card Series (ft. Craftin Desert Divas)

'Tis The Season #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Sorted Shapes stencil by Craftin Desert Divas

Happy Saturday!

I’m so excited to guest on Crafting Desert Divas blog today with Stretch Your Supplies Card Series! This super simple modern Christmas card was made with a very limited craft supplies so you don’t have an excuse not to get your hands inky and try to make handmade cards for your friends and family if you haven’t tried yet!

All you need for this project is Sorted Shapes Stencil, a few colors of Distress Oxide inks (in case you don’t have them, you can definitively use regular Distress inks or any kind of dye or pigment inks you have on hand), a pencil, a pair of scissors, a ruler, a brush and a piece of watercolor paper.

So let’s see a step by step tutorial:

  • Cut and score an extended A2 size card base (5½” x 4¼”).

  • Use a ruler, a pencil and scissors, trace and cut two triangles one a little bit smaller than the other (see the picture above). Use them as a guide and cut out a few triangles from a watercolor paper for your project.

  • Take another rectangle piece of a watercolor paper (I used here Distress Cardstock from Tim Holtz since it ment to work with Distress inks) and use your Distress Oxide inks as a watercolor media, smooshing them against a sleek surface and creating a messy spots with a regular brush (see the picture above). This technique will work both with regular Distress inks or any sort of dye inks. You can use regular watercolors at this point too.

  • Smoosh once more on a sleek surface a few shades of inks, mix them with a translucent or white embossing paste and apply on top of the watercolor spot using the circle part of Sorted Shapes Stencil and creating a sort of snowy background. In case you don’t have an embossing paste, apply the inks directly to the watercolor base through the stencil with a foam tool or directly from an ink pad (see the picture above).

  • Use a chevron part of Sorted Shapes Stencil to decorate the triangles by applying the ink with a foam or directly from the ink pad. If you work with Distress or dye inks, spritz a few water droplets on top to bring some interest (see the picture above).

  • Add color to a narrow strip of paper, let it dry and heat emboss the sentiment from Holiday Sweaters stamp set. Of course, you can simply stamp the sentiment on top or hand draw one of your choice.

  • Finally assemble everything, giving a little bit of dimension with a foam tape and adhere a few matching sequins as a finish touch.
