Happy Birthday Friend Card (ft. SugarPea Designs)

Happy Birthday Friend #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - You're My Type stamp set by SugarPea Designs #sugarpeadesigns

Hello and welcome!

I’m super excited to be featured on SugarPea Designs blog today and to share with you a cheerful and bright friend birthday card!

I’m playing with two wonderful and one of my favorites You’re My Type and Meadow Motifs stamp sets plus some watercolor markers.

Happy Birthday Friend #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - You're My Type stamp set by SugarPea Designs #sugarpeadesigns

To start, I die cut the typewriter and a few floral branches and leaves using the coordinating You’re My Type SugarCut and Meadow Motifs SugarCut. I chose to work on Strathmore Bristol paper since it makes the blending with watercolor markers very easy. Next I stamped the outline images from You’re My Type and Meadow Motifs stamp sets with VersaFine Onyx Black ink since it’s waterproof. Finally I colored all the stamped elements with Tombow markers.

In case you’re wondering, here’s the complete list of all the colors used on this project: TOMBOW n.N79, n.133, n.177, n.835, n.845, n.847.

A regular A2 size card base was prepared from Neenah Solar White paper and embellished with some lovely and kind words from Everyday Sentiments stamp set. I used a very light gray dye ink this time both for stamping and flicking some tiny water droplets on top. Before popping the colored stamps on a foam tape, I added a sentiment from You’re My Type stamp set with the same black ink used previously for stamping. A few clear sparkling sequins added a final touch to this colorful card.

That’s all for today! Hope you like this birthday friend card and give it a try! As always thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Interactive Slider Birthday Card Plus Video (ft. Newton’s Nook Designs)

It's Your Birthday Right Meow #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Birthday Balloons stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Hello and welcome!!!
I’m so happy you’ve joined me today and even more excited to be on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog sharing a fun tutorial how to put up together an interactive slider card!

I’m playing with adorable Newton’s Birthday Balloons stamp and the coordinating Newton’s Birthday Balloons Die sets. Curios? So, please, watch the video below!

To start, I die cut from Strathmore Bristol paper and stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink the cute kitty, three clouds and a little heart using Newton’s Birthday Balloons stamp and die sets. For the background I switched to Tim Holtz Watercolor cardstock and one of my favorites combos from Distress line: Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch. The amazing Cloudy Sky stencil is from Newton’s Nook Designs brand as well. I used Ranger’s Texture Opaque Matte Paste and my heat gun for the puffy clouds on the background. Finally the interactive mechanism was brought to live with MFT Spin & Slide Disc and two slightly larger circles die cut from a plain white cardstock.

The mischievous kitty was watercolored with Tombow markers. I used for the blending both a small watercolor brush from Pentel filled with plain water and Spectrum Noir Sparkle Clear shimmer pen for some details.

And here’s the complete list of all the colors used: TOMBOW N79, 025, 665, 703, 772, 873, 899, 905, 933, 977, 992.

Limited Color Combo Birthday Card (ft. Purple Onion Designs)

Have A Little Fun On Your Birthday #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - stamps by Purple Onion Designs #purpleoniondesigns

Hello and welcome!!!

I’ve popped in for a quick post since I had a chance to play with and stretch more some super cute stamps from new Sunny Meadow Fair Collection by Purple Onion Designs created by a super talented Stacey Yacula!!!

To start I picked three adorable Flo, Mo & Bo chicks along with a ballon stamp from Fair Accessories set and stamped them on Strathmore Bristol paper with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. Then I used a pair of small sharp scissor and fussy cut all the images, leaving a little white edge around.

I decided to use a limited color palette on my card and colored all the stamps with Fresh Lemon, Turquoise, Paper Bag and Lava Rock watercolor markers from Tropical Fiesta set by Altenew. Next I created a matching inked background using Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink and fun Bokeh stencils from Newton’s Nook Designs. I added a lot of water droplets on top to achieve a messy look. Assembling all the elements together, I simply stamped a big bold birthday greeting from Fair Marquee Sentiments set and popped the colored stamps on a foam tape for some fun dimension.

The card design transformed the fair stamps into a universal birthday card and the color choice made it (in my opinion) perfect for little boys. And what do you think about it? Do you like to flip through your craft stash and invent more use for the products you already have on hand?

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

All the new April products will be available for purchase on Friday, April 12th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!

You're MOO-velous! #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Moo stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Today we are continuing to add more absolutely adorable farm animals to a new collection and it’s time for the cutest cows from Moo stamp set that as always comes with the coordinating dies!

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving Moo stamp set away to a lucky winners so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

My first card turned out as a cute farm scene and all the images I used here come from only one new Moo set. To start I chose Neenah Solar White paper and Hybrid Black ink from MFT since it’s copic friendly. I die cut the cow and a few accessories for my scene using Moo Die Set and stamped the coordinating outline images helping myself with a stamping positioning tool. Next I colored everything with copic markers.

Here’re the complete list of all the copic colors used: cow YR21-YR24-YR27 plus R02-R11 and E49; W00-W2-W3; R24-R27-R39; Y11-Y15-Y21-Y26; BG11.

The hills were die cut from Land Borders Die Set and inked with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink. The sky portion was colored with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink and finally the fence die cut from Fence Border Die was shaded with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink. Before assembling all the elements, I added a few puffy clouds through Cloudy Sky stencil using a white embossing paste from Ranger.

Since all the new farm goodies released this week go so well together, I just cannot escape to mix and match them on my second card!

It's Your Birthday! #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - stamps by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I started with the same steps that I describe for the previous card, except of that I switched to Strathmore Bristol paper and Tombow markers.

Here’re all the exact colors of TOMBOW markers I used on this project: n.N15, n.N79, n.055, n.090, n.133, n.723 n.772, n.850, n.946, n.947, n.977, n.993.

And here’re all the exact new products used for this fun birthday card: the fun piggy is from Oink stamp and die sets, the chicks come from Cluck stamp and die sets along with the sentiment stamped on a Speech Bubble, the cow is, as you can guess, from Moo stamp and die sets. The background was formed from two pieces of green and light blue cardstock both framed with Frames Squared Die Set. Finally the Fence Border Die cut out from a kraft cardstock was embellished through Hardwood stencil.

Newton’s Nook Designs March Release and Giveaway – Day 2 – Cluck

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the Newton’s Nook Designs April release!

All the new April products will be available for purchase on Friday, April 12th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!

It's Your Birthday! #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Cluck stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving Cluck stamp set away to a lucky winners so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

Working on my project, I mixed and matched a few new goodies. To start, I die cut a few chicks from Strathmore Bristol paper using Cluck Die Set, stamped with a waterproof black ink using the coordinating outline stamps from Cluck stamp set and colored all the images with watercolor markers.

Here’re all the exact colors of TOMBOW markers I used on this project: n.025, n.055, n.062, n.243, n.491, n.620, n.673, n.723 n.850, n.977, n.991.

Next I trimmed an A2 size rectangle from a plain white cardstock where I die cut three circles using Frames Squared Die Set. I also applied on top a tone on tone white pattern through new just released yesterday Hardwood Stencil with a white embossing paste from Ranger. For the sentiment, I used three different Speech Bubbles and three matching sentiments from the same  Cluck stamp set. As always I used some foam tape assembling all the elements for a bit of dimension and playful look along with a few clear sequins.
