I just couldn’t resist from stamping, die-cutting with the coordinating dies and watercoloring with my Zig markers a whole bunch of the super fun images from new Umbrella Pals Stamp Set. These cute umbrella critters are irresistible, aren’t they?

When I work with Zig Clean Colour Real brush markers, my win win combo is Bristol paper from Strathmore brand, VersaFine black ink since it’s waterproof and very crisp and a small watercolor brush from Pentel. Once finished with coloring, I arranged all the images in a rainbow order and popped on a foam tape. The matching sentiment from the same Umbrella Pals Stamp Set was simply stamped with the same black ink I used before. Finally I added a rain drop pattern made by repeatedly stamping and heat embossing the small image from the same stamp set.

Umbrella Pals Die Set has some additional stitched pieces that can be used on their own.

I die-cut a bunch of cute umbrellas from Neenah Solar White paper this time, colored them with copic markers and arranged into a rainbow pattern on a matching stitched frame die-cut from Frames & Flags die set. I decided to keep everything clean and simple. And so I simply stamped the sentiment with a black ink and only added some shimmer to the colored umbrellas and a few clear drops.

Newton’s Nook Designs March Release and Giveaway – Day 2 – Wedding Frills

Hello and welcome! So happy you’ve joined me today for Day 2 of the Newton’s Nook Designs April Release!

All the new April products will be available for purchase on Friday, April 20th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!

Happily Ever After #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Wedding Frills stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

The cards I’m sharing today turned out very elegant and classy and were inspired by beautiful new Wedding Frills Stamp Set (that comes with the coordinating dies) and Floral Lace Stencil. Both products have gorgeous, intricate design and will bring your projects to a whole new level!!!

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving new Wedding Frills stamp set away to one lucky winner so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

My first card is a very classic wedding one. In fact, a tone on tone embossing is paired with a metallic gold shine that is so typical on wedding cards and invitations.

Happily Ever After #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Wedding Frills stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I started with a white A2 size card base and Floral Lace Stencil. Once transferred the beautiful lace design with a plain white embossing paste, I left everything air dry and started working on Wedding Frills Stamp Set. I put a generous coat of an antistatic powder before doing heat embossing to keep all the embossed lines clear. I stamped and heat embossed twice using a fine gold embossing powder the biggest stamp from Wedding Frills Stamp Set and the sentiment on the additional white panel cut at an angle. The coordinating dies helped me to die-cut quickly the elements. Assembling the card, I popped the heat embossed elements on a foam tape for a bit of dimension and skipped any other embellishments.

My second card is made on kraft card base because I just looooove the look of white against kraft color.

MR & MRS #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Floral Lace stencil by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I used the same plain white embossing paste and transferred the pattern from Floral Lace Stencil, let it air dry and then die-cut with Frames & Flags die set. I also die-cut a stitched scalloped edge on a vellum strip using NND Sky Borders die set and wrapped it around the lace pattern with a matching kraft twine.

I customize my own sentiment die-cutting letters with Essential Alphabet Die sets on a gold metallic paper and finally arrange and adhered the letters. I think it would be awesome recreate this card with names of bride and groom! What do you think?

Crafting Desert Divas – April Release Replay – Hello Beautiful

Hello and welcome!

This month I was very lucky to have some time, just sit down, focus and stretch new Hello Beautiful stamp set from Crafting Desert Divas April release in four different ways and with four different coloring media.

Happy Birthday #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Hello Beautiful stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindesertdivas

My second card from these stamp focus posts is a watercolor one. Missed the first one colored with Polychromos pencils? Catch it up right here!

Happy Birthday #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Hello Beautiful stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindesertdivas

This time I used an emboss resist technique and regular watercolors. In case you’re unfamiliar with emboss resist technique, it’s a very fun and easy method to work with watercolors. I started with a watercolor paper, of course, since it holds water well and put a generous coat of the antistatic powder. Then I stamped the image with a clear sticky ink, sprinkled the fine white embossing powder on top and shook off the excess. I heat set the image and was ready to color. Since the embossed lines raise above the paper, they become an excellent guide in case you want to stay inside the stamp lines and prevent the color from spreading all over. Otherwise, like I did on my card, you can paint inside and outside the heat embossed lines and make them pop from the background revealing the pattern.Happy Birthday #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Hello Beautiful stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindesertdivas

Once the watercolor piece was dry, I die-cut it inside the stitched frame, popped the sentiment from Simply Said stamp set and finished with a few matching sequins.

That’s all for today! Hope you like this card! Need more inspiration? Please, check Craftin Desert Divas Gallery on Facebook for more amazing projects and inspiration from the Design Team, freebies and awesome giveaways! As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Newton’s Nook Designs March Release and Giveaway – Day 1 – Newton’s Graduation

Hello and welcome to Day 1 of the Newton’s Nook Designs April Release!

Time To Take On The World #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Graduation stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

NND Design Team is kicking off this week with another super adorable Newton stamp set called Newton’s Graduation that has a couple of sweet kitty images and some super fun matching sentiments. This set comes with the coordinating dies. Plus NND is adding a super versatile die set to their collection named Essential Alphabet Die set and as you can guess it allows you die-cut all the letters and numbers! This set is just perfect to customize any of your projects and give them a personalized twist!

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving new Newton’s Graduation stamp set away to one lucky winner so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

Of corse, I just had to get my hands on both new products: Newton’s Graduation stamp and Essential Alphabet Die sets. And here’s what I came up with!

Time To Take On The World #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Graduation stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I started with Bristol paper from Strathmore brand, first die-cut using the coordinating Newton’s Graduation die set and then stamped the cute kitty with a globe. Once the ink was dried, I made a simple watercoloring with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers. I set aside the watercolor piece and started working on the background die-cutting from Essential Alphabet Die set some letters on a masking paper. I placed the letters into the desirable pattern towards the bottom right corner of the card base, masked the card edges and applied Distress Oxide ink in Mermaid Lagoon color with an ink blending tool. I also spritzed a few tiny water droplets on top and lift the masked letters from the background achieving a fun pattern. Assembling the card I popped Newton on a foam tape, heat embossed the sentiment from the same Newton’s Graduation set on fish-tale banner die-cut with Frames & Flags die set and finally added a few matching sequins.
