Holiday Card Series 2016 – Believe

nnd_believe-2016-1

Happy Monday!

Starting my week with a cute feline card! Aren’t these kitties super sweet?

On this card I created a night scene using my watercolors. The kitties from Newton’s Nook Designs’ “Newton’s Christmas Cuddles” stamp set were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, while for the sky I used Mijello Mission Gold watercolor set. No need to tell you that they look like my furry babies! LOL!

nnd_believe-2016-2I added a few layers of color for more contrast, but tried to leave a very light spots as well to emulate the moon light.

The kitties are sitting on the big “Believe” die from Simon Says Stamp. I die-cut it 5 times and glued all the layers together. Love to add dimension to the dies this way, it always adds a “WOW” effect.

Of course, couldn’t skip a few sequins in the end and some sparkle because there would be no Christmas without glitter! Right?!  😉

That’s all for today! Hope to catch you up very soon with a new post! As always thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me sweet comments! I really appreciate your support!

Holiday Card Series 2016 – Warm Holiday Wishes

cdd_java-fox-2016-1

Hello everyone!

I’ve just popped in for a super quick post since the Holiday Season is already here and I still have so much to do! Lots of cards to make and send! Does it sound familiar to you?! 😉

So here’s another card from my Holiday Card Series and hope it will bring you some inspiration for your crafty week-end!!!

cdd_java-fox-2016-2

Today I played with a super cute digital stamp Java Fox from Craftin Desert Divas that was printed on my laser printer and then simply colored with copic markers (as always I’m leaving all the exact colors I used below).

The sentiment was heat embossed with a white embossing powder on a strip of matching card stock that was colored with the same red copic marker I used on the fox. And since it’s a holiday card plus just for something extra I couldn’t skip a shimmer pen. So this card turned out quite sparkle and looks very Holidayish.

As always thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me nice comments! I really appreciate your love and support! Have a great week-end!!!

Holiday Card Series 2016 – ft. Create A Smile

cas-cold-but-happy-2016-3Hello everyone!

Have you heard that I’m on Create A Smile blog today with some inspiration for you holiday cards.

cas-keep-cool-2016-3

I’ve created two super simple and easy cards both using their “Cool Buddies” stamp set.

cas-cold-but-happy-2016-1On my first card I created a very light ink blended background, heat embossed a few snowflakes on top and added a hand cut snow slope on a foam tape. Finally colored with copic markers the cute snow buddies (as always below you can find all the exact colors I used) and finished with some red elements just to bring more color and tired everything together.

cas-keep-cool-2016-2On my second card I started with a watercolor background and added some water droplets and color splotches on top as well as a few silver heat embossed snowflakes. Later I used the same embossing powder for the sentiment that was heat embossed on a strip of vellum. The adorable penguins were colored with copic markers and then fussy cut right against the stamp outlines. Here’s a tip for you: once cut out, color the edges of your images with a black marker and it will hide any imperfection.

cas-keep-cool-2016-1That is pretty much all for today. If you need more inspiration, please, check Create A Smile’s blog and enter into their December “Christmas/Winter” challenge for a chance to win a gift card.

Holiday Card Series 2016 – Interactive Spinner Card

peaceful-xmas-2016-1

Hello everyone!

Thanks for joining me today on my blog. I’m sharing a super fun and cute card with you! Hope it will bring a smile on your faces! (You can see this card in action here!)

I played with a few products and came out with a so holiday reindeer games style interactive card. I used for the first time the Circle Spinner Channel from My Favorite Things along with their Spin And Slide Discs to create an interactive part. Then I added the cute Santa’s helpers from Mama Elephant’s stamp set that, in my opinion, go together perfectly and  finished with a holiday sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

As for the coloring medias, the reindeers were colored with copic markers (as always, I will leave all the exact colors below) and the background was done blending some distress inks in blue tones. And just because I can’t resist, I added some splotches as well as a small red heart in the end.

If you need more inspiration, please, check also Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge blog as this card is also my entry to their current challenge.

That’s all for today! Would you be so kind to share if you like interactive cards and if you make them? Or do you prefer a more traditional style? Can’t wait to know your opinion!

As always thanks so much for stopping by! I really appreciate your love and support!

Holiday Card Series 2016 – Joyful Tidings (ft. Newton’s Nook Designs)

nnd-joyful-tidings-2016-1

Hello everyone!

I’m back with my Holiday Card Series and also sharing today’s watercolor card to celebrate the first day of the 30 Day Coloring challenge organized by a very talented Kathy. Do you take part of it? If not and you are interested to discover more, please, visit Kathy’s blog and YouTube channel!

nnd-joyful-tidings-2016-3

So the main focus on this card is obviously a watercolor scene. I stamped with a waterproof ink on a good quality cold pressed watercolor paper an adorable Christmas Delivery scene from Newton’s Nook Designs and watercolored it using Mijello Misson Gold watercolor set. The rest of the card was inspired by the NND’s current Inky Paws Challenge #37 – Cozy Plaids.

ipc_37_plaidAnd so I thought that a non-distractive tone-on-tone heat embossed background would be perfect to frame the watercolor piece. Of course, a few finish touches were added to complete the card.
