Hello and welcome!
Today is my turn to get you inspired for the SugarPea Designs monthly Mix It Up Challenge! I came up with a holiday card that opens my Holiday Card Series 2020! Wow! Can’t believe it’s time for Christmas cards again!
In case you want to play along, as well, here’s how you can do that: you have all month to play along and make a project using just the inspiration, just the sketch or Mix it Up and use both! It is totally up to you! You can find all the rules at SugarPea blog right here!!!
To start, I made a bunch of die cutting using Open Book SugarCut to achieve all the floral elements I needed from Neenah Solar White paper. It was easier for me to use a plain white cardstock and then add colors, using my copic markers, but you definitely cat switch directly to a colorful cardstock or a patterned paper instead.
As always I’m sharing with you all the exact colors used here: COPIC MARKERS R11-R12-R14-R22-R27 plus RV10; YG21-YG01-YG23.
An extended A2 size card base was made from the same Neenah Solar White paper that I used before. I masked a wide stripe directly on the card front using a post-it sticky tape. Next I applied and secured Torn Strips Stencil on top and inked the pattern with a very light hand using two tones of the light pink dye inks from my stash and the blending brushes. I also prepared a narrow stripe cut out from a black cardstock where I repeatedly heat embossed the sentiment from Everyday Sentiments stamp set. Once glued the sentiment stripe directly to the card front, I arranged the flowers and leaves in a circle and finished with a few clear sparkling sequins.
Hope you like this clean and simple card! Now it’s your turn to link up your creations for a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate from SugarPea Designs! Can’t wait to see what you create!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!
Hugs,
Tatiana
