Hello and welcome!!!
I’ve popped in with a simple watercolor card featuring again new Under The Sea Collection of rubber stamps from Purple Onion Designs illustrated by super talented Shari Bresciani!
Today’s card is quite simple and involve only some basic watercoloring. To start, I stamped on a piece of Fabriano Extra White Hot Pressed Watercolor paper all the images I needed for my under the sea scene using VersaFine Onyx Black ink since it’s waterproof. I fussy cut all the images (except of the big background stamp) with the sharp small scissors and then colored all the elements with regular watercolors. I like to use my customized palette where I gathered together my favorite watercolors from Winsor & Newton, Schmincke and Daniel Smith brands. It’s hard to keep track of all the exact colors that I used on this project since I’m mixing some of them together to achieve a desirable shade.
And here’s the complete list of all the stamps used on this project:
Ocean Floor
Mermaid
Branch Coral Set
Ocean Rocks with Algae
Saltwater Fish Set
Seaweed, Tubes & Stripe Coral Set
Seashells & Starfish
Sea-timents (sentiment) Set
The background was framed with a faux stitched rectangle die from SugarPea Designs Card Front Elements 3 SugarCut since this die has the same exact measures as an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″). I glued some elements directly to the backgroung while the others were popped on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look. The sentiment from the matching Sea-timents Set was simply heat embossed on a narrow strip of a black cardstock and then added to the card.
Hope you like this cute card and new amazing stamps from the Purple Onion Designs’ Under The Sea Collection!
As always thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Tatiana
