I hope you’ve joined SPD Design Team this week and hopped along for a chance at winning one of FIVE GIVEAWAYS! If not, there’s still time to enter! All you need to do is leave a comment for your chance to win.

**Please note that links to SPD store for these new products will not go LIVE until 2PM EST on May 22th.**

Today’s I decided to stretch more beautiful Floral Envie stamp and the coordinating Floral Envie SugarCut that comes with an extra word with shadow die “SMILE”.

Floral Envie

Floral Envie SugarCut

To start, I die cut a piece of hot pressed watercolor paper from Fabriano brand using a dotted rectangle from Card Front Element Builder II that is large enough to cover the whole A2 size card front (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″). Next I stamped at an angle beautiful Floral Envie images with Antique Linen Distress ink. This ink is light and reactivates with water what makes it perfect for no-line coloring. I proceeded with coloring using Tombow markers and the small water brush from Pentel. No-line coloring is not fast so it took me a while to finish both flowers clusters, but I enjoyed very much the coloring process!

Here’s the list of the colors used on this project: TOMBOW 192, 757, 772, 850, 991.

First I die cut the word “SMILE” from Floral Envie SugarCut, smooched VersaMark ink on top and embossed the die with a fine gold embossing powder. I repeated this step a few times to achieve a smooth metallic look. Next I heat embossed the word “FRIEND” from Floral Envie stamp set on a tiny piece of a black cardstock and finally assembled all the elements together. As a finish touch, I adhered a bunch of matching sequins.

  1. I love how you “stretched” the use of this lovely stamp. I never would have thought of that, so thanks for the inspiration! Your water coloring is just beautiful. I was water coloring yesterday, and as I am new, I was quite timid. (Didn’t want to mess up my project, which I did anyway! LOL. Practice, practice, practice. I enjoyed the process very much.

  2. Wow. This card turned out absolute amazing! What a coloring talent you are! This one I would LOVE to purchase for myself! Simply stunning work!

  3. Love the softness of this beautiful creation! So so gorgeous. The gold sentiment is an elegant lovely finish. So pretty. Hugs, Wends xoxo

  4. Your coloring of your flowers is INCREDIBLE!!! These are so pretty, I might have to buy this and try it out. But you are SO skilled, that’s why it looks amazing…

  5. What a gorgeous card!! I love that you thought outside the box for this card and your no line watercolor is stunning!!

  6. How inspiring, I can hardly believe this is the same stamp with the creative way you’ve used it!!! I love it, thanks for the inspiration ❤ and a great week of discovery!!!!!
