Hello and welcome to Day 1 of the SugarPea Spring Product Release!

I hope you’ll join SPD Design Team over the next 5 days because we’ll be sharing Sweet Peeks for the products that will be available for purchase starting this Friday, May 22th at 6 PM EST in the SPD Store.

Each day will be full of inspiration, and as always, you’ll have a shot at winning one of FIVE GIVEAWAYS!  All you need to do is leave a comment for your chance to win.

**Please note that links to our store for these new products will not go LIVE until 6PM EST on May 22th.**

Today’s Introductions include… the fantastic Piece of Cake – 3D Box. These boxes can be assembled to open in two different ways (top or back) and ten pieces create the whole cake.

There’s no much to say about the assembling. The base must be die cut two times and the back flap must be cut out from one base for the correct assembling. In case you’re interested, SugarPea Designs prepared a video tutorial on their YouTube channel.

You have two options for the lid as showcased in the product image that I posted above and a wide variety of additional accessories to suit any occasion and style.

Due to the COVID-19 emergency, I was not able to order new patterned paper for this project and so I dug deep into my scrapbook stash and found this sweet themed patterned paper from Dovecrafts. I don’t believe they produce it any more, but I highly encourage you to watch around and use whatever you already have on hand. You can start with a plain white paper and add colors by your own.

Ten pieces placed together create the whole cake.

  1. I predict these are going to fly out of the shop… so many ideas are popping into my head on how I would use these. My granddaughters will squeal, but I can think of a couple of sisters who would love to have a sweet piece of cake. Can’t wait!!!

  2. Those treat boxes are beautiful. So many possibilities for this — from fun to elegant. Love them.

  3. I love the fact that 10 of these put together makes a cake. A great party gift and everyone can go home with a piece of cake. Love the strawberry theme with the paper and toppers you used. Perfect!

  4. Love this die set, was just thinking the box could be used for party favors for a birthday or at a wedding/baby shower. Thanks for sharing.
