Hello and welcome!
Today is my turn to get you inspired for the SugarPea Designs monthly Mix It Up Challenge! I came up with a cheerful and bright spring card featuring Sprout Bloom Grow stamp set!
In case you want to play along, as well, here’s how you can do that: you have all month to play along and make a project using just the inspiration, just the sketch or Mix it Up and use both! It is totally up to you! You can find all the rules at SugarPea blog right here!!!
I kept everything very easy today and just enjoyed coloring the adorable images from Sprout Bloom Grow stamp set with watercolor markers. To start, I die cut all the shapes I needed for this project from Strathmore Bristol paper using the coordinating Sprout Bloom Grow SugarCut. Next I made the stamping using Sprout Bloom Grow stamp set, VersaFine Onyx Black ink since it’s waterproof and my MISTI tool. I colored all the elements with Tombow markers and left them aside to air dry.
In case you’re interested, I’m leaving here all the exact colors used on the card: TOMBOW MARKERS N79, 055, 133, 173, 452, 676, 685, 725, 873, 925, 933, 977, 992,
The layout of the card base was inspired by the graphic created for the SPD April challenge. I masked the background with a piece of a post-it tape and inked a leaf pattern through Leaf Canopy Stencil with Twisted Citron Distress ink and the blending brush. Next I heat embossed the sentiment from the same Sprout Bloom Grow stamp set on a strip of vellum and started assembling all the elements together. I popped the colored images on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look and finished with a few clear sparkling sequins.
Hope you like this clean and simple card! Now it’s your turn to link up your creations for a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate from SugarPea Designs! Can’t wait to see what you create!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!
