I’m continuing playing with stencils and going to share with you today a few tips and tricks about heat embossing. I went for a Halloween themed card and so picked a wonderful Ghosts stencil from Newtons Nook Designs paired with White Puff Embossing Powder from WOW brand.
Please check the video tutorial below to see the whole card making process.

I started with a purple A2 size card base made from Simon Says Stamp Royal Purple Cardstock. I inked the card front edges with Wilted Violet and Black Soot Distress inks and let it air dry. I treated the whole card front with a EK Success Powder Tool and smooched VersaMark ink through Ghosts stencil. Next I sprinkled the ghosts pattern with White Puff Embossing Powder and zapped everything with my heat fun.

For a more playful look I added small google eyes from Darice here and there using Glossy Accents as an adhesive since it’s super strong and dries clear. The Boo Hoo sentiments come from NND Boo Hoo stamp set. I stamped a few of them with VersaFine Onyx Black ink on a piece of SSS Orange Peel cardstock and heat set with WOW Neutral Ultra Shimmer Embossing Glitter. I used the coordinating Boo Hoo Die Set for die cutting the speech bubbles and finally popped them on a foam tape. A few clear crystal sequins finished this cute card.
