Hello and welcome!!!
I’m so happy you’ve joined me today and even more excited to be on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog sharing a fun tutorial how to put up together an interactive slider card!
To start, I die cut from Strathmore Bristol paper and stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink the cute kitty, three clouds and a little heart using Newton’s Birthday Balloons stamp and die sets. For the background I switched to Tim Holtz Watercolor cardstock and one of my favorites combos from Distress line: Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch. The amazing Cloudy Sky stencil is from Newton’s Nook Designs brand as well. I used Ranger’s Texture Opaque Matte Paste and my heat gun for the puffy clouds on the background. Finally the interactive mechanism was brought to live with MFT Spin & Slide Disc and two slightly larger circles die cut from a plain white cardstock.
The mischievous kitty was watercolored with Tombow markers. I used for the blending both a small watercolor brush from Pentel filled with plain water and Spectrum Noir Sparkle Clear shimmer pen for some details.
And here’s the complete list of all the colors used: TOMBOW N79, 025, 665, 703, 772, 873, 899, 905, 933, 977, 992.
Hope this project will inspire you to give an extra twist to you handmade cards! As always thanks so much for stopping by!
