Customized Pattern Paper and SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #54

Sending Hugs #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Cuddly Cacti stamp set by SugarPea Designs #sugarpeadesigns

Hello and welcome!

I’ve popped in for a quick post because today is my turn to enter into the SugarPea Designs monthly Mix It Up challenge and I prepared this simple and cute card and my own pattern paper!

In case you want to play along, as well, here’s how you can do that: you have all month to play along and make a project using just the inspiration, just the sketch or Mix it Up and use both! It is totally up to you! You can find all the rules at SugarPea blog right here!!!

The cute Cuddly Cacti (NB: Cuddly Cacti stamp set was designed by SugarPea Designs for Stamptember Event and is no longer available for purchase) were stamped on Strathmore Bristol paper with VersaFine Onyx Black ink, colored with Tombow markers and then fussy cut leaving a little white edge around.

As always I’m leaving all the exact colors I used here: TOMBOW n.N79, n.055, n.062, n.090, n.098, n.126, n.133, n.873, n.885, n.993.

Working on the card base, I added a fun matching edge to a rectangle partially die cutting it from a white cardstock with Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles. Next I was searching for something to embellish the bottom part of the card that had to go perfectly with a cacti theme and still to be non distractive as I wanted to keep the main focus on the colored images. And so I decided to stretch more the small stamps that come with Cuddly Cacti set and took a light gray cardstock plus the matching light gray ink. I filled the whole area by repeatedly stamping the small flower and creating my own pattern paper. Super easy! Right!?

Hope you like this cute and simple card! Now it’s your turn to link up your creations for a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate from SugarPea Designs! Can’t wait to see what you create!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!

Tatiana
