Hello and welcome to the final day of the Newton’s Nook Designs February release!
All the new February products will be available for purchase on Friday, February 15th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!
Thanks so much for taking part of this release and hopping along with the NND Design Team! Last day of the reveal reserved us two small, cute and so adorable stamp sets called Spring Pile Up and Puppy Pals. Both sets come with the coordinating dies and the additional “Happy Easter” sentiment die.
Giveaway alert!! NND is giving new Spring Pile Up and Puppy Pals stamp sets away to a lucky winner so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!
The card featuring Spring Pile Up stamp set turned as a fun spring scene.
To start, I die cut, stamped and colored a cute pile using Spring Pile Up stamp and die sets. I used my ever favorites Strathmore Bristol paper, VersaFine Onyx Black ink, a small water brush from Pentel and Tombow markers. For the spring scene I used Land Borders Die Set and Cloudy Sky stencil. Applying the embossing paste I didn’t smooth it to achieve a fun texture on the clouds.
Here’s the complete list of all Tombow markers used: n.N79, n.N95, n.025, n.090, n.133, n.723, n.761, n.772, n.800, n.850, n.873, n.942, n.985, n.990, n.992.
My second card along with a new cute Puppy Pals set features new Bold Blooms stencil. The puppies were stamped and colored with the same materials that I used on the previous card.
I’m leaving the color list of Tombow markers used on this project: n.N15, n.N57, n.N60, n.N79, n.N89, n.025, n.090, n.133, n.873, n.885, n.899, n.947, n.977.
Creating the background, I applied Bold Blooms stencil directly to the card base. I filled some spots with a white embossing paste. Next I mixed the same white embossing paste with Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide ink and filled the empty spots with the colorful mixture. This technique let me achieved a pattern with well visible flowers that were not overwhelming the colored images.
The other elements for the layout were created using Framework Die Set, Darling Hearts Die Set and Pawprint stencil. Finally the heat embossed sentiment from the same Puppy Pals stamp set gave a finished touch to this card.
Would you like to win the “Spring Pile Up” or the “Puppy Pals” Stamp Set?

I LOVE you clouds and Thanks for sharing how you did the stencil paste on the flowers ~ I would not have guessed how you achieved the marbled addition of color 🙂 My FAV has to be the paw print heart above the pups though ~ it (& the sentiments in the set) steal my heart!!!
