Hello and welcome!
Today is my turn to enter into the SugarPea Designs monthly Mix It Up challenge. And I prepared this simple and cute card using a few fun techniques!
In case you want to play along, as well, here’s how you can do that: you have all month to play along and make a project using just the inspiration, just the sketch or Mix it Up and use both! It is totally up to you! You can find all the rules at SugarPea blog right here!!!
I’m still playing with my winter stamps and I chose again Eskimo Kisses stamp set and the sweet skating bear! I thought it would be fun to try a mirror stamping. Do you know how it works? All you need to have is a solid stamp. I inked well the bear stamped with VersaFine onyx Black ink and stamped first on a solid silicon stamp. Then I transferred a mirror image from a solid stamp onto a piece of a watercolor paper. I didn’t care to have a perfect impression since the bear should look like it is reflected by ice. Next I added a positive bear impression on top using the same VersaFine ink and proceeded with coloring.
As always here’s the complete list of all the TOMBOW MARKERS used on this card: n.N45, n.N79, n.451, n.515, n.565, n.620, n.623, n.636, n.673, n.723.
Next I framed the cute winter scene using a scalloped rectangle die from Card Front Element Builder and added a “Thanks” word using die cut inlay technique. It means that I die cut the sentiment and then popped it in place using a foam tape underneath the whole scalloped rectangle. Last but not least, I added a heat embossed part of the sentiment using a strip of a gray cardstock and Grateful Greetings stamp set.
Hope you like this cute and simple card! Now it’s your turn to link up your creations for a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate from SugarPea Designs! Can’t wait to see what you create!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!
