Hello and welcome to Day 3 of the Newton’s Nook Designs November Release!

Today we’re celebrating a return of the mischievous kitty Newton in two new absolutely adorable stamp sets: Newton Celebrates and Newton’s New Year. These stamp sets are really cute, versatile and will cover easily many of the occasions from the upcoming New Year to birthdays and anniversaries! In case you’re wondering, both new sets come with the coordinating dies.

My first card featuring Newton Celebrates stamp set turned out clean and simple.
To start, I took Strathmore Bristol paper, die cut using Newton Celebrates Die Set and stamped the coordinating images from Newton Celebrates stamp set. Next I colored all the cute critters and a few accessories with a water based markers.

ZIG CLEAN COLOUR REAL BRUSH MARKERS: n.41 Light Green, n.50 Yellow, n.60 Brown, n.61 Light Brown, n.64 Oatmeal, n.67 Mustard, n.72 Beige, n.83 Ochre, n.95 Mid Gray.
I wanted the colored critters become a main focus on my card and so I kept all the rest clean and simple. The sentiment from the same Newton Celebrates set was heat embossed on a piece of a purple cardstock and a tone on tone white embossing through Confetti stencil gave a finished touch.
Small, but not less adorable Newton’s New Year stamp set can be paired with the largest Newton Celebrates set or used on its own.
Creating this card, I used the same NND products, but gave to this card a colorful twist with a bright background. And so the images were die cut using the coordinating Newton’s New Year Die Set from Bristol paper, stamped with a waterproof black ink and colored with water based markers. The background was inked with Mustard Seeds, Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet Distress inks. Next I applied the same Confetti stencil that I used on the first card and added a tone on tone a pattern on top with the same Distress inks along with a few water droplets.
