Hello and welcome to Day 3 of the Newton’s Nook Designs October Release!
All the new October products will be available for purchase on Friday, October 19th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!
The design of today’s reveals is totally different from the ones you saw on previous days, but not less amazing and beautiful! I can’t wait to introduce you new Holiday Stockings and Ornamental Wishes stamp sets! Holiday Stockings set coordinates perfectly with Stylish Stocking Die Set released last year! So clever and thoughtful!!! While Ornamental Wishes stamp set can be paired with stunning new Ornament Shaker Die!
Giveaway alert!! NND is giving new Holiday Stockings and Ornamental Wishes stamp sets away to lucky winners so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!
Here’s the Ornamental Wishes stamp and Ornament Shaker Die bundle in action!
To start, I die cut two outside frames and two bases of the Ornament Shaker Die from Neenah Solar White paper and gently inked them with Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress inks and an ink blending tool. Next I die cut the outside frames again from the Double Sided Adhesive Foam that NND carries in their shop! I can’t recommend this foam adhesive enough for die cutting! It goes through die cutting machine like butter and keeps the perfect shape of the dies!!! I also die cut at this point again the bases using a heat resistant acetate along with a fun glittery HO-HO-HO sentiment to use inside the shaker and the ornamental tops. Before assembling the shakers I heat embossed the sentiment from Ornamental Wishes stamp set with a silver embossing powder on one of the ornamental elements and filled the inside with a few matching sequins. Assembling the whole project, I added a tone on tone snowflake pattern to the card base through Snowfall Stencil just for something little extra touch and cut by hand the second ornamental element to match the other.
My second card turned out as a traditional Christmas pattern with so traditional red, green and white colors!
Working on this project, I randomly stamped some Holiday Stockings with Memento black ink since it’s copic friendly and made some super simple coloring without any shading since I want to create a sort of holiday pattern paper. I used only three copic markers: R24, YG25 and T1, but you can definitely use any color medium you have on hand for this card.
The sentiment from the same Holiday Stockings set was heat embossed on a fish-tail banner die cut using Frames & Flags Die Set. And finally a few matching sequins along with a coat of Clear Wink Of Stella Shimmer pen finished this simple, but colorful card.
Would you like to win the “Holiday Stockings” or the “Ornamental Wishes” Stamp Set? We will choose ONE lucky winner for each stamp set!
