All the new March products will be avaliable for purchaise on Friday, March 16th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!
A new March release has a lot of fun birthday theme products that coordinate in a fabulous way!!! Today all the Design Team is focusing on new fantastic Holding Happiness stamp set that that comes with the coordinating dies and two new stencils with Confetti and Bubbly patterns.
Giveaway alert!! NND is giving new Holding Happiness stamp set away to one lucky winner so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!
My first card turned out super colorful. I stamped with a copic friendly ink one cute image from Holding Happiness stamp set, added a bit of rainbow colors with my copic markers and finally die-cut everything with the coordinating die.
For the background I prepared a stitched rectangle die-cut from Distress cardstock with Frames & Flags die set. Next I added a colorful spot toward the right side of my panel using Distress Oxide ink in Peacock Feathers color and an ink blending tool along with some water droplets and colorful splashes. I let the ink dry very well before adding the sentiment from the same Holding Happiness stamp set and finally applied a white embossing paste through new Confetti stencil.
My second card, although has a different look, was made with the same NND products I used on the first one. Once more I stamped with a copic friendly ink on Neenah Solar White paper the cute girl with a super BIG birthday present, colored the image with copic markers and finally die-cut using with the coordinating die.
The background was made on Distress cardstock since it makes the ink blending super easy and holds water. I started creating a light spot with Distress Oxide ink in Worn Lipstick color. Then applied Confetti stencil and added more color on top. Some water droplets and colorful splashes made the pattern even more playful and interesting. While the ink was drying, I heat embossed the sentiment from Holding Happiness stamp set and repeatedly stamp with the same black ink I used before the small flower stamp creating a fun pattern directly on the card base.
Finally I assembled everything with a bit of dimension, a few black accents and some clear sequins.
