The first day of the release starts with super adorable Newton’s Easter Basket stamp set that comes with the coordinating dies and amazing Cloudy Sky Stencil. No need to tell you that the Easter adventures of the cute kitty have stolen my heart! And a few Easter cards come so handy for my stash!

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving new Newton’s Easter Basket stamp set away to one lucky winner so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

My first choice was the cutest mischief peeking behind the Easter eggs from new Newton’s Easter Basket stamp set. I stamped him with a copic friendly ink on Neenah Solar White paper, colored with copic markers and fussy cut right against the stamp lines. Then I hid any imperfection from the fussy cutting by painting the edges with a black marker.

Once the stamp was ready, I proceeded working on the background. After die cutting a scalloped rectangle from Frames & Flags die set, I made a mask die cutting a grass edge from Land Borders die set on a masking paper and used it to apply the ink with an ink blending tool. For the sky portion I used Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink and for the grass – Twisted Citron color. Before assembling everything, I added a few clouds through new Cloudy Sky stencil and stamped with the matching black ink the Easter sentiment from Beautiful Spring set. I set everything aside and let the background air dry very well since I decided to heat emboss a few matching cloud outlines from Winston Takes Flight and Newton Scoots By stamps sets. Finally I assembled everything giving a bit of dimension with a foam tape and added a coat of a shimmer clear pen just for an extra finish touch.
