Today I’m taking part at the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event hosted by the talented Tracy McNeely. We are on day 2 of this awesome feature so make sure you visit her blog each day to see all 25 days! And today it is also Newton’s Nook Designs feature day and that means you’ll see a lot of inspiration and tags made using the NND brand products!
For my projects, I used NND Tags Times Two die set and first of all die cut a whole bunch of rectangle tags from a while cardstock. Holiday period is usually a very busy one so I thought to come up with something really quick and suitable for mass producing, but at the same time fun and very cute, giving that perfect finishing touch to the holiday presents!
If you are a stamper, my first idea is right for you!!! LOL!!! I grabbed new Stylish Stocking stamp set that has awesome bold shapes ready to cover the whole pattern. I used a stamping positioning tool and the negative part of the tag die for quick and easy aligning. Adding the top part to the stockings, I purposely covered the stamp non perfectly since the splotchy look added a fun texture in this case.
If you are a fan of cute images and coloring, my second projects is for you! I flipped through tons of fantastic holiday stamp sets designed by Newton’s Nook and chose a few fun images to play with! (In case you are wondering I used here Naughty Or Mice, Frozen Friends, Sweater Weather and my ever favorite kitty, of course, from Newton’s Holiday Mischief stamp sets.) Once more I used the negative part of the tag die in my stamping positioning tool for a quick and easy stamping with a waterproof black ink. Since I didn’t want to spend a whole bunch of time coloring perfectly all the stamps, I went for a spot coloring technique with Zig markers and added traditional red and green Christmas colors only to some details.
That’s all for today! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day!
