Hello everyone and happy Monday!
A new Newton’s Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #42 starts today and I just couldn’t not play along! This is my inspiration projects for you!
The current challenge is a birthday one and honestly a few extra birthday cards in the stash are always so handy. And if you can put a cake and a cat on top, there’s no excuse not to play along. You can upload your birthday projects here for a chance to win a store credit at Newton’s Nook Designs online shop.
I played again with the adorable Newton Loves Cake stamp set from Newton’s Nook Designs and created a super simple watercolor card.
I die-cut a kitty shape with the coordinating die and a curve edge panel with NND Land Border Die out of a watercolor cardstock. Then I aligned the negative part of the die-cut piece in the stamping tool and stamped the kitty with a black waterproof ink.
Once finished watercoloring the kitty stamp and the background piece, I added the sentiment from the same stamp set using again my stamping tool just to be sure to get it stamped perfectly in the right place. Then I mounted onto an acrylic block some small images and created with a light gray ink a pattern to go behind the cute kitty. I continued with the same pattern on the card base to tie all the elements together.
That’s all for today! Hope you like my simple card and it will inspire you to join this color challenge! I’ll catch you up on the Inky Paws Challenge Blog! Have a great week!
