Newton’s Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #39

Hello everyone!

I’m back with another post for Newton’s Nook Designs since today is the start of a NEW inky paws challenge over on the Inky Paws Challenge Blog!

frozen-friends_tt_1The current challenge is a theme challenge and theme is to use a heart in your project, along with some Newton’s Nook Designs images. Here’s the inspiration graphic:

ipc_39_janI wanted to play along and here’s my card.

frozen-friends_tt_2I decided to used Frozen Friends stamp set by Newton’s Nook Designs since it has fantastic unique snowflakes with hearts. So I embossed a few along with some tiny hearts using a white embossing powder and added color on top using ink blending technique. I decided to choose non-traditional orange-peachy colors for the sky for this Valentine’s Day project.

Playing with a heart scheme I masked the round buttons on the snowmen stamps and replaced them with the same tiny heart I used on the background plus added it once more near the sentiment. The stamps were colored with copic markers and after die-cutting a few snow slopes for the scene, the card was done. Of course, couldn’t skip extra little finish touches such as matching sequins, Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen and a coat of Glossy Accents on top.

That’s all for today! Hope my card will inspire you and you join us this month! Be sure to link up your projects to Inky Paws Challenge Blog for a chance to win a store credit at Newton’s Nook Designs online shop.
