Holiday Card Series 2016 – ft. Create A Smile

cas-cold-but-happy-2016-3Hello everyone!

Have you heard that I’m on Create A Smile blog today with some inspiration for you holiday cards.

I’ve created two super simple and easy cards both using their “Cool Buddies” stamp set.

cas-cold-but-happy-2016-1On my first card I created a very light ink blended background, heat embossed a few snowflakes on top and added a hand cut snow slope on a foam tape. Finally colored with copic markers the cute snow buddies (as always below you can find all the exact colors I used) and finished with some red elements just to bring more color and tired everything together.

cas-keep-cool-2016-2On my second card I started with a watercolor background and added some water droplets and color splotches on top as well as a few silver heat embossed snowflakes. Later I used the same embossing powder for the sentiment that was heat embossed on a strip of vellum. The adorable penguins were colored with copic markers and then fussy cut right against the stamp outlines. Here’s a tip for you: once cut out, color the edges of your images with a black marker and it will hide any imperfection.

cas-keep-cool-2016-1That is pretty much all for today. If you need more inspiration, please, check Create A Smile’s blog and enter into their December “Christmas/Winter” challenge for a chance to win a gift card.

cas-cold-but-happy-2016-2As always thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me nice comments! I really appreciate your support!
