Loads of Thanks – Stretch Your Stamps Card Series (ft. MFT Stamps)

Hello guys!

I’m back with a post for the Card Design Superstar contest hosted by My Favorite Things and another example how you can stretch your craft supplies. And, yes, finally autumn colors on my blog!!!  😉

I played with the adorable Loads of Thanks stamp set and came out with a simple one layer design with some “wow” elements and a lot of details: Perfect Pearls and watercolor splotches, Ranger’s Stickles Star Dust Glitter, Glossy Accents, some doodling, a few sequins and little accents with a white gel pen.

I would like to stop and spend a few words about simple masking I did on this card. No additional stamping or fussy cutting is necessary. I used posted notes to mask either the small leaves from the MFT’s Forest Friends set or the original Pure Innocence image. Here’s the step by step tutorial: first stamp a few leaves on the ground, use posted notes to avoid overlapping the stamp outlines, mask the pots inside the wagon before inking the stamp, then fill the top part of the wagon with other leaves and acorns using the same technique with posted notes, finally coat everything with a liquid mask. Once dried the liquid mask would protect your stamping while you are working on the background. In the end, peel off the liquid mask and color your image with any media you like (I used copic markers on my card).

That’s pretty much all for today! If you have any question, leave it in the comment area below. As always thanks so much for stopping by! I really appreciate it a lot!
