Easter Card (ft. Newton’s Nook Designs) – Spring Card Series

NND Easter 2016 (1)

Hi All!

My today’s card is all about spring, sunny days, flowers and butterflies! As you can see I’m still obsessed with watercoloring. The color choice was determined by the Newton’s Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #29 – Color Challenge. Here’s the inspiration graphic.

nndA few words about how this card came up. I used NND Newton’s Day Dream stamp set. It’s more like summer image, but typical spring pastel colors transformed it into a perfect Easter stamp. For the front panel I used a hot pressed watercolor paper and Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolors in tubes as a color medium. Through the partial die-cut window you can see a sort of sky filled with bees and butterflies that was painted inside the card base. And in between I added a transparent shaker part by sealing a piece of storage pocket with a fuse tool.

Although this card has a few layers, it still remains very flat and not bulky so it will go through the mail with no problem.

That’s all for today! Can’t wait to see what other crafters will come up with for the challenge. The cardmaking community is so so so talented and amaze me every time!

Thanks so much for stopping by and for kind word and comments you leave me! Hope to catch you up very soon!

  2. Hello Tatiana! This is so lovely! I love the way you stamped the words around the circle and the beautiful watercoloring on the inside!
