I’m so exited because today is the first day of the Newton’s Nook Designs November Release and we are showcasing a new “Jolly Tags” stamp set and coordinating dies.
Here are two cards I came up with for this post.
I turned the round shape die and the coordinating ornament stamps into Christmas balls. For the first card I die-cut from white card stock a bunch of ball shapes and stamped the snowflake ornament on them with dye inks. I used gradient variation of blues from lightest to darkest and added a little bit of dimension by adhering everything on foam tape. The sentiment is from Newton’s Holiday Mischief stamp set and I used silver color for embossing as well as silver thread and sequins to tie everything together.
What a Christmas card without a little bit of sparkle? Right?! So as a finished touch I brought some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter brush pen.
On my second card I used a negative part of the die and turned it into a shaker window. It’s been a while I have a heat resistant acetate in my stash and finally I had a chance to test it. Honestly I was a little bit scared about the embossing powder sticked to the acetate, but a ton of anti-static powder I put before stamping, prevented any problem and I managed to achieve beautiful crisp embossed images. Here is the up-close look.
Since the shaker areas were not very big, I filled them with a mix of beads and sequins.
