The card I’m sharing today was in my head for some months and finally was realized. I made it for my little nephew. He is going to celebrate his first birthday soon.
It’s definitely a CAS card and I used only two complimentary colors on it (except of gray tones). Instead a lot of stamps from Simon Says Stamp were involved: Hello You, Dotted Numbers, Lots of Dots. If you like to know more about complimentary colors, please check Simon Says Stamp’s Flickr Challenge #27.
CAS cards may seem to be very simple to make, but don’t let you deceive from the appearance. On CAS cards nothing is casual. Every little detail becomes extremely important and there is no place for mistakes at all. Here are some tips and tricks for you. Use the negative part of a die-cut piece as a guide to put all the parts in place. Stretch your stamps and mount them on the acrylic block in different shapes. For example, I made the sentiment look like waves underneath the boat. Use a blending pen and color you image or die with the same ink that you used for stamping. Put in evidence a side panel by blending light ink from one side.
This is all for today! Hope you like the card and as always thanks so much for stopping by!
