Hi all!!!
I haven’t planned to make more cards this week or to post something on my blog due to a very busy schedule, but guess what happened… yesterday Simon Says Stamp announced a new challenge on their Wednesday Challenge Blog and it’s all about furry friends and Newton’s Nook Design’s stamps (yes, my favorite cat images 😉 ). I was so so so excited and just can’t help myself from making something with the cutest furry friends I ever saw. So I put my other plans aside, took out my copics and started coloring.
I selected three kitties from NND Naughty Newton, Newton’s Birthday Bash and Newton’s Antics and colored them, of course, one like my furry baby Tommy, one like Newton and one like Kristina Werner’s cat Mannie. Here are copic colors I used:
my kitty Tommy (Sacred Cat of Birman): E41-E43-E44-E47-W0-W1
Newton (orange tabby cat): Y32-YR21-YR24-YR27-W0-W1
Mannie (black and white): C0-C3-C4-C7-C10.
Then I went crazy with all the colors for the banners inspired by the photo of NND Inky Paws Challenge #22 – Birthday.
Maybe even too crazy…. so I was not really happy with my first attempt. Since I spent all that time on coloring I didn’t want to throw away my card and start all over again so I did some fixing!!! I decided to make the birthday hat and the balloon match the colors I used on the scalloped edge. I colored only these little pieces, fussy cut them and glued on the top of previous ones. Here’s the picture of the original card.

I agree- both versions are cute but I do love what you ended up with! I love how all those kitties are hanging out at the birthday party together! I love how they are all colored in different ways!
